SEPA NOTICE MITIGATED DETERMINATION OF NON-SIGNIFICANCE (MDNS) DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSAL: City of Buckley Fire Station Construction and Site Development (DSP) # 2010-01: Applicant is proposing to construct a new 19,566 square foot fire station on the 3.65 acre site located at 611 S. Division Street, Buckley, WA (PC Parcel #0619102039). Development of the site to support the construction will include but not be limited to the extension of all utilities, roadway frontage improvements to Division Street, construction of off-street parking area(s), access driveways onto Division Street and Ryan Road, stormwater drainage facilities and landscaping. Associated with the proposal are site improvements to support a future fire training facility located west of the proposed building. The permitted activities will include construction of the proposed building, parking lots, access ways, and storm water detention within identified clearing limits and provision of temporary sedimentation and erosion control measures. An environmental impact statement (EIS) IS NOT required under RCW 43.21C.030 (2)(c). This decision was made after review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on file with the City of Buckley. This information along with mitigation conditions is available for public review upon request. This MDNS is issued under WAC 197-11-350; the lead agency will not act on this proposal for fourteen (14) days from the publication date identified below. Review by the city council shall be on a de novo basis. The notice of appeal shall be made upon a form to be supplied by the city administrator. A nonrefundable fee of two hundred fifty dollars shall be paid at the time the notice of appeal is submitted.
